1970 C10 Project - HSH
A little history about my 70 C10 SWB - I've owned it for 17 years. I traded a different truck I had at the time straight up for it. The PO did a frame-off about 20 years ago. This used to be my daily driver in a previous life but now I haven't driven it a total of 1000 miles in the last 10 years. My wife, who kept me from selling the truck on numerous occasions over the years although we could have certainly used the proceeds, suggested we rebuild it. I'm hoping it will be good time for me, my wife and our two daughters.
Following are a few of the planned upgrades. Any suggestions and comments welcome. static 4/6 drop box in frame 9" rearend triangulated 4-link 4 wheel disk front tubular strong arms rack and pinion coil overs on all 4 corners ~19" wheels buckets with console gas tank relocate bump motor up a notch - already around ~300hp, like to take it to 400hp hopefully a very clean engine bay/firewall area shaved markers, drip rail and handles etc... Not the blue but possibly the orange.
If not, I have thought about a dark red and tan interior. Last edited by HSH; 01-11-2009 at 08:35 PM. |

Good project truck! More pics of the hood? Looks like a glue on cowl.
