Body bolts welded.
I'm working on some floor repair and noticed the front bolts are welded to the tub, both sides, is that the way it came or someones fix?
Thank you for help. 7D2N |

Re: Body bolts welded.
Funny thing, i was working on my 71 blazer today and same deal. I was taking out all the body bolts and they all had a tack weld to them. not completely welded but just enough to keep them in place. To answer ur question, sorry i dont know. im thinking someone welded them but per recomendation of installing the bolts kit. I just went ahead and carefully grinded the tack welds off. ill see if its needed to re-weld them when its time to put new ones in. Did you get the bolts out?

My truck is the same way so it's not just blazers.

Re: Body bolts welded.
Yep what VT said, it basically sucks, especially the two big ones in the front floor area.
