got a ls1 guage question for yall.
i am currently in the process of getting all the parts together to do an ls1 install on my 86. ive seen somewhere that someone used guages out of a 90-91 model suburban but i cant find it anymore. im trying to not spend the money on the dakota digital guages. any helpful information (if its possible, worth it, part numbers, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

If they are Electric gauges it will work or use aftermarket gauges in it.

You want a 87-91 Cluster with the VSS. You will still need a buffer for it as the signal isn't the same.

Re: got a ls1 guage question for yall.
my 91 cluster works fine on my 86, as for buffer...I don't know,(maybe u can enlighten us Kris) my cluster only plugs in one way, I spliced my vss wire into connector behind cluster.
Working fine. I know my speed is not correct right now, as soon as I get new rear done, I'll get the speedo setup, hopefully through my local tuner. I would like to know more about this "buffer".
