New guy needs help
Just brought home my 69 Chevy C-10 stepside today. Going to have a lot of questions and I hope you guys will help. Truck is disassembled to frame and cab. I want to put a 67 front on the truck. From what I have read so far, it looks like I have to replace the whole front end. My question is are the fenders the same on a 67 and a 69 other than the marker lights? Next question- What is the best doner vehicle for a five lug disk brake front end that will bolt up w/out modification?

Re: New guy needs help
The fenders are different. You'll need 67-68 Chevy fenders or 67-72 GMC fenders. Just about any 5 lug truck crossmember up to 87 but around 80 they started using a lot of metric stuff. I just took the spindles off a 72 and put on my 70 control arms.

Re: New guy needs help
Thanks for the info. Whats a good site to look for aftermarket front end sheet metal? Better yet, is there a company that makes an all in one swap kit to change 69 front end to a 67?

Welcome chops,There are also plenty of aftermarket suspension upgrades out there. When you have time check out the FAQ's section. There should be several methods and ways to do what you want on the disc.Read up on it some and figure out which way best suits your budget and skill set.
