Truck for sale....definitely not mine!

I spotted this thing about 4 blocks from my house, so I had to go back & get my camera.
Close up, it's not as pristine as it shows in the pix, but it is a clean truck.
The guy must be really proud of it because he asking $9K, which is pricey even around here.
Sorry about the poor qality, but the sun was almost directly behind the truck.

looks good, but way over my price range,,, (which is about anything now a days... )

not sure if its worth it,, especially with all that gravel in the cab.

Re: Truck for sale....definitely not mine!

There was definitely a lot of work but there were a lot of flaws when I got up close; paint was just about worn through on the hood, big old chunk of paint missing on the top of the hood, right @ the front., etc.

There weren't any specifics on the for sale sign other than the price and a contact name & number.

It just wasn't $9K nice

Drove by it, went home & got my camera & came back.
The GMC is my only runner right now.

Looks like a bonified classic California Stepside from the`70s.Except for the queer tail lights.I like everything but those.Red would really set it off as well.
I think it`s worth it.Nothing to repainting the hood black anyway. It`s a sweet looking a/c equipped Stepside in wet black done tastefully.

Re: Truck for sale....definitely not mine!

It's right there on the for sale sign!!!

No I didn't. I'll wander down that way tomorrow & see if it's still there. I think the owner might be a friend of the guy who lives across the street from where the truck was parked. That guy has a '69 & it wasn't there today.
I can try & talk to him too.

If the truck is there, I'll try to get some better pix.

Nothin'.

But if a bottle of Booker's bourbon happened to show it, it wouldn't be refused.

I'd prefer you didn't.

I don't know the guy with the truck, & that makes all the difference in the world.

Sorry, I meant help with my top, and the rugs, etc, not the truck, so I figure you deserve at LEAST a bottle, maybe two!

Friends help friends without even considering any type of payment.

We help strangers, too.
If the stranger wants to offer a token gratuity, that's fine. If he doesn't, that's fine too.

Kind of hard to explain over a computerfier. I'm just sort of old fashioned I guess.

Yes, sir, it is a nice truck.
It's just IMO, it's not $9K nice; $6.5K, maybe even $7K, just not $9K

Like a friend of mine's later father used to say about selling cars, "There's an a$$ for every seat." And he was right. The seller just has to have patience.

Back to work, or I'll never get my truck ready for tomorrow.

Re: Truck for sale....definitely not mine!

That there looks like a pretty decent truck. Classic driver, maybe even an easier repaint.
I agree $7500 or Best Offer.
