Ebfabman's picture is dead on I would guess. I had to fab a piece for the floor there on both sides of my truck.

Re: floor patch for corner of rear of cab

Take a piece of sheet stock, cut to size, form to fit, fasten, then weld around the edges.

Re: floor patch for corner of rear of cab

So I guess that makes it a $500 patch panel

Re: floor patch for corner of rear of cab

You can buy pieces of sheet metal at Napa, you will want 18 guage or 20/22 guage if that's all they have.

Or you can get good metal out of the side of an old appliance if you have any old refrigerators or washing machines around. I keep a few old washers in a tent at my place [hidden from neighbors] just so I have sheet metal scraps when I need it.

Your patch doesn't have to be perfect, that area is not very visible once you put the seat back in, go for it!

Re: floor patch for corner of rear of cab

I would use 18 or 16 GA... you can get smaller pieces from Lowes or TSC...
