what to use for drag blocks

jsut as the title says.. i am in the prosess of bagging my truck and when all is said and done i wanna be able to drag it down the freeway. but i don wanna kill my frame. whats the best thing to use and where are the key places to put them.. i planned on using titanium but i wanna know if there is anythign else i can use

I would say use magnesium, but that catches fire..
Might be better to just use plain ol steel.

how do you figure it woould kill someone??? the trailer balls are something you can torque down unlike most half assed ideas i've seen on mini trucks... plus if your draggin the ass of your truck with someone close behind you are retarded. thats my .02

well yeah you can also always anglr the trailer back towards the rear of the truckso instead of catching it would merley deflect any sort of pot hole speed bump small dog or old women..
and IF you wanted to be suuuper precautious u can always greab a castelated nut and a cotter pin and dril the thread sie of the ball so the nut will never loosen...
and titanium is expensive and i havent seen it spark before..
so if u dont use a trailer ball.. use plain old steel stock..

Get you a 15k rated trailer ball, it won't break, but something else will.

I'm not suggesting using trailer balls, or anything else for that matter. I think it's un-safe and could cause accidents.

As much as I like lowered trucks, I don't condone dragging. I don't like dragging because it's destructive in nature, and I don't like anything that might cause damage to my truck.

i work with only titanium at work everyday... sparks so bright and hot that it hurts your eyes. AND its very spendy

It's the look at me mentality. The same reason you see guys with bagged trucks driving down the road with the front up and the rear scraping. They want attention, and this gets it.

I don't understand the whole concept of dragging, especially at freeway speeds when you need to have the most control. Most all of my stuff is lowered, and I take great steps not to drag anything. I'm not into tearing my stuff up, no matter how "cool" it looks.

to some point we all want attention. thats why we love to restore,rebuild, fix up, ratrod um, chop, cutup, cut down. or what ever makes us happy. that is the sweet part. do it or build it the way you like and then show it to every one. if every body had a clean square truck,same color,same ride height,same tires and wheels and same etc. there would be no need for this board.

trailer balls are very dangerous.. if u dra them enough the part where ther threads are will fall out of the hole and back behind u damaging the vehicle behind you
also u hit a hole of a bridge ledge while dragging it will ruin your frame by tearing the metal seen it happen

***************** has drag blocks made to bolt to your frame prolly the safest drag block.

an then u have titanium.. brightest spark andit also last the longest but of course it is the most expensive and hardest to get drilled and tapped

then u could always plate your frame with 1/2" steel plate welded to your frame.

ive seen people go out of control by draging but if you know how to drag correctly there is't problems
