Re: 4 wheel drive rear driveshaft

Is their any other truck or blazer that shares a similiar rear driveshat to our blazers? I need one that is a little longer and I would just have my lengthened but it is all beat up. Would a legthened front driveshaft work? Any ideas let me know. Oh and I have a 72 k5 blazer with 6 inch lift, 12 bolt rear end and np 205 t-case.

When they lengthen a shaft they replace the tube so as long as the caps are good that hold the u joints you should be ok

Re: 4 wheel drive rear driveshaft

You might be able to use a 73-87 driveshaft. Longer wheelbase, but it depends on where the back of the T-case is. I had a CV shaft custom made for mine. The original was whacked with 350K miles on it... When I swapped in the 14 bolt, it was too short so I re-drilled the perches to shift the whole axle back about an inch. Nice thing about that is it is now centered in the wheelwell.
