Holy shmoley! Those vacuum gauges are neat to have though. I remember when my accountant brother in law bought his first sports car...trans am. He was about 45, me about 35. He was very proud of it and asked if I had ever driven a stick. I said yes and he offered me the wheel He explained in detail how the fuel economy (vacuum) gauge on the dash worked and was a great way to tell when to shift. I nodded and then smoked the tires. I had a great laugh when after he dug his nails out of the dash I smuggly told him I didn't notice how the gauge reacted and asked if he wanted to watch it for me this time? After wiping the sweat from his brow, he said "I guess you've driven one of these before".
