i was just wondering what are the best covers for 67-72 truck's, the reason i'm asking is because my truck is garaged right now but my dad's getting a new boat(F&*%!) and i have to move my truck back to my house and park it in the back yard, (again F@#$!)
any help would be great! thank in advance. andy

Re: truck cover ?'s
If it is a shortbed, I bought a portable garage at Harbor Freight for $169 and then put a second silver tarp over that. My rustfree project has stayed dry as a bone now for 6 months with no problem.

Re: truck cover ?'s
I like CalCovers. I have a 72 that's been covered/stored out back for almost 15 years... gone thru 3 covers. Mainly due to not having a toneau cover on the bed and the the Calcover sags and rips on some of the junk in the bed. Too lazy to make a pole or something to keep water from pooling.
It has really saved the paint and interior. http://www.calcarcover.com/ Last edited by Mondo; 01-17-2009 at 05:57 PM. |

Re: truck cover ?'s
I would buy one of these for cheap insurance. After you have it installed add your own sides and close it in even.

Re: truck cover ?'s
A carport with enough sides on it and back will do more than any cover can. I wouldn't use a cover on any vehicle that I leave outside.
Have you ever tried to get your cover off when it's 30 degree's out and sleeting. Mine was my everyday driver too!

Re: truck cover ?'s
I'm always afraid of those really cheap garage/cover things blowing over... I agree covers aren't good for daily drivers

Re: truck cover ?'s
I have had my CalCover for ten years now. I'll be buying another for the second truck.
