Front crossmember...
I know I've been posting a lot but I have another question. I have a front crossmember out of a 1971 Chevy truck and I was wondering if it would bolt up to a 1966 1/2 ton truck?

You don't have to swap the entire crossmember for the discs unless you want to do the extra work. All the parts that attach to the crossmember can/will bolt up to the current c.member already in your 66.

The crossmember under the truck has a cut in it. That makes me uncomfortable, and the other crossmember was free.

I don't know if the cut in the crossmember compromised the structural integrity or not but I'd rather not risk it.
