Over 3 1/2 years and it fired up
I finally am far enough along to test fire the engine today. Got the wiring hooked up temporarily. It popped on the first try, so I moved the dist. a little and tried again. She fired right up and ran fine. However I can't get it to start with the key, the ignition has power to the dist. The only thing I can think of now is to check the wire to the solenoid. Any ideas? Project link below.

Re: Over 3 1/2 years and it fired up
I figured it out, after searching the faq index I found the one on neutral safety switch. Bingo when I jump the terminals at the switch it works. Now I know what to fix.
