Painless, hands down it is the best out there. Use your box.

Step 1 buy the harness
Step 2 install the harness in about 30 minutes, I did
Step 3 Send your box to Painless and they will falsh it for free and send it back within the week!

Painless is the only way to go, for the money everything was there, check engine light, plugs, It was so easy!!!!

I was going to use the factory harness, don't even bother, spend the green.

A local shop was going to charge me $400 to clean the ECU, Painless dod it for free for buying their harness.

i've done it both ways and i would rather use the factory harness. but painless is a good company with great customer care. used there harnesses on about a dozen cars and even had them custom build a few.

thanx for the quick reply, i would love to ask aside from these items can anyone think of anything else needed:
motor mounts
harness
cooling fans
fuel line \pump

djcnova,
I am curious how your project is coming. I would like to do the same thing. I have been a mustang guy for years now I am starting to grow up some and start working on the 72 C-10 I got. I have been considering some of the aftermarket EFI sets on Summit and Jegs but this seems like the best route. Are you using the 4L60 tranny as well? Column Shift still?
