transmission lines routing

Are you using the factory hanger on the side of the oil pan or just letting them hang free? Got a picture?

Sorry no pic, but we are using the factory clip. Good idea to keep them from moving around, vibration could possibly cause a crack in the line. IIRC it mounts about where the engine mount is. The top line from the tranny goes to the bottom of the radiator, not that it matters much, but they might fit better that way.

What brand of lines are you using?

I'm using a stock clip on my stock, original lines too. Works fine.

I would secure the lines down. Less likely to get damaged from vibration and whatnot. Millions of GM sedans and trucks had that clip, so if you need one it should be easy to find at your local pick-a-part. Kind of a pain to get off a junk car as they're always right over the top of the crossmember. Seems like third or fourth hole back on the pan rail.
