Question u joint help please help

ok i did a tranny and t case swap converted a auto to manual

im useing a ford drive shaft
(its the only way to go with out getting one made)

i know the u joint that goes in the output in the t case (dana20 t case)
has to be 3 1/2 long

and for the drive shaft is 4'' where the ujoint goes in i think its like 3 3/4 long or somthin odd like that

anyone know any u joint conversion




i have a chevy to ford on the other end of the dirve shaft
that goes to the rear end

Shane. I would stop pulling my hair out over this. "make it fit" U joints are a PITA. You have to buy 2 of each so you have a replacement part, and then what happens if they stop makeing it? Have the shaft that was in the truck altered to fit using the correct "U" joint for your application. You might need to buy another shaft to get the correct ends, but in the long run it will be easier and cheaper. Who knows, you might just find a shaft that fits right in, right? Check your local scrap yards. My 2 pennys, jim

1984 K20 350M engine with 465,000 miles. Well, it's finally done!! Almost 2 years of work, but it was really worth the effort.
