You can do that? I have upper and lowers in great shape L and R of course I would recommend changing the bushings and ball joints..

I guess my thought is presentation...if cleaned up these would look a lot more presentable and likely fetch more $$$.

Thats what I ment, some degreaser and a wire brush for 10min. I guess I should not be suprised what i would find there. Maybe I should try too?
