Might be Getting Another! Questions about a 71
Hey Everyone,
I might be getting another C10, this one a 71 for my pitbike. It's a 71 long bed Cheyenne, it has a v8 that has bit the dust, and a 4 speed w/granny gear. Truck is pretty clean, rust in the normal areas, but nothing super bad. My questions are: It has the heavy duty suspension option, I've been looking into using the airbags from ECE, would I be able to replace the leaf springs with the bags, as you would with a coil suspension? The build sheet is below, does anything look particuarly rare? I've already got a 67, and my plans were to do a full 3.5/6 drop from ECE with disc brakes, and the air bags out back in place of the springs. I'd like to do the same to the 71, but I'm at a loss if I can or not because of the "heavy duty suspension" option. Also I've got a 350 out of a Corvette with an overdrive tranny and F### 9 inch 3.00 posi rear end. I'm debating on whether or not to toss that whole setup in, or just put the engine and rear end in, keeping the 4 speed. The truck is going to be my daily driver, and gas mileage is my main concern. Thanks for your help! |

Buy it, it's worth, no matter what you decide to do. If it still has the tach and the auxiliary tanks, they are a good plus. If you plan on making it your daily driver, i would put the overdrive tranny in plus everything else.

Thanks for the reply!
I'm not buying it, I've got a modded out CRF50, and he's got an uprising little motocross kid, perfect trade! Still has the aux tanks, no tach though I've got a clean 67 with a better body, I was thinking of swapping everything over except the cab, hood, and grill |
