Do suburan seats lean forward? Or is it a rear seat?

I'm thinking I've seen them but on an 80's truck. Not sure which year exactly, though.

Forgot to mention. It's looks similar to the 86-87 rear seat I got off a crew cab truck. Pretty much the front seat and the back were similar. I got the rear seat because it had less wear.

Re: anyone know what truck this seat is out of?

I am thinking 80's as well prob newer then 86 though. I have an '86 though the pattern is different the shape is the same. The pic with the pivot point almost made me want to say '68. My guess would be '87 or newer.

I changed my mind, I am leaning older I say '68.(another looked at the pivot and the plastic trim piece made me do it).

You notice in the side view the front half of the seat kinda boulsters out a little.

Okay, went to look at mine and it pretty much pins it to 81-87 trucks. The model it came out of would probably determine the seat cover type and material.

Here's a pics of mine:

Re: anyone know what truck this seat is out of?

I agree that seat looks the same as the seat I got from a 87 truck.

Truck seats tilt forward, i don't think Suburban front seats tilt.

Re: anyone know what truck this seat is out of?

That would explain why its so low 73-87 trucks had the raised floor to accomidate the fuel tanks under the cab and bed which meant the seat brackets had to be shorter, thus putting one in a 67-72 lower floor would make a nice low seat.

actually, while the seat may well be 73 - 87 truck, the mounting is no way from a square body. The legs are all four different lengths.

Re: anyone know what truck this seat is out of?

so if these brackets arnt original to 73 - 87 then what are they off of? I guess I could fabricate some brackets, but it would seam easier to grab these.
