66 C-10 Waking up the neighbors

I just got done replacing the goose neck fitting (dunno what its really called, the thing that connects the radiator hose to the engine block ) and flushing out the coolant system this morning. I was driving along a few days back and had that stupid fitting crack in half, which was not fun (especially when your 50 miles from home :P ). Real easy fix, but it made a damned mess of my engine bay. I think you can still see some of the dirty coolant setting on top of the engine block and the air filter.
This truck is my daily driver, has been for 2 years, so she's definitely not a showgirl.
Anyways, I thought I'd make a little video of her to share with you guys. Sound quality is not that great after I uploaded it, but it'll do

My next video will be a burnout vid. I'm fixin' to buy a new set all around and I'm planning to let these tires go out in style

Cool vid man! Yeah that always sucks when you break down especially when its something simple and you dont have any tools

I had my mufflers like yours too but had to change them because i did a lot of highway driving and got tired of my ears ringing when i got home

btw, that piece is called a thermostat housing

Ya, I really enjoy the loudness of the short mufflers, but it does make it a bit difficult to be discrete when you need to be.
for example, a few weeks ago I had planned to drop some roses off at my girlfriends front door as an early morning surprise for her birthday. Unfortunately, even though I was running as quiet as I possibly could and parked across the street, when I got to her door step she was outside waiting there for me. She said she heard it as soon as I turned onto the road and knew exactly who it was.

I drove a COE '50s Chev with a straight pipe once. The thing was a hay-hauler, and up in that cab, with a load on, you couldn't scream and be heard.

lol, ya conversation is kind of difficult when your going anywhere over 45 mph.
