Hi gang, let me start by saying it's great to be a member of this forum with great tips, info and deals. OK, I have a cab question on a project I'm getting ready to start. I have a 71 C-10 SWB with a rough cab, but recently bought a 68 C-20 (no motor/trans) with a rust free cab, it's a high hump w/4speed cab ( bare w/me I'm learning your correct terms ) will there be any issues with fit/alignment installing the 68 cab on the 71 Frame. Oh ya the 71 is a small block w/a powerglide, no air on either but the 68 cab has a powerbrake booster I plan to use on the 71, it had none. I'll take any/all input. Thx in advance...

only thing i think is the difference is the high hump transmission floor piece... unless the 68 is a high hump to..but i think its all the same..but i dont know much and might be different

71 has a cable throttle. 68 is a rod.

Thx ...The 71 cab I am removing is not a high hump. The 68 cab going on is a high hump

use the 1/2 ton cab mounts, weld the hole in the high hump shut, and swap the throttle cable over with the cab and you'll be set.
You'll need the correct booster if you want to run power brakes. I've never been able to make a 3/4 ton drum/drum booster work on a disk/drum set up.
