New Here, need Help

Hey guys. New guy here. have 2 questions. I have an 82 3/4 4x4 with a 4 speed. It has the base guages with the idiot lights. Want to put factory guages in. What is going to be the best way to do it, and what wires will I need to change? Other than new sending units for oil, and water. What else will I need.
My next question is, the truck used to be a diesel. I put new fuel pickups with the 3 outlets, but the truck doesn't have a canister on it. What should I do with the vent tube coming out of the gas tank. Thank you for any info. I have looked all over this site, and there seems to be some pretty nice people with nice trucks.

Re: New Hear, need Help

I'm guessing the base gauges would be lights for the oil, temp and volts. You can just put a short piece of hose on the vent and let it hang. It won't hurt anything.. just keep it out of the way and clear of obstruction.

I added a metal in-line fuel filter to the end of mine to reduce the chance of water (wet roads) sand (dirt roads) and bugs getting into the tank.
