Power Steering for 62 frame?
I'm trying to help a buddy put power steering on his 62 pickup. Does anyone know if there is a box from another vehicle that might work? I wouldn't mind going to pick and pull and grabing one for him.
I know essentially the front suspension can be removed from 60-83 and swapped. Thanks in advance. Shaun

Re: Power Steering for 62 frame?
Here is a great link for the conversion:
http://www.persh.org/pickup/steering.htm You can use a Saginaw power steering box from a '68-'86, but stay with the earlier years, if you want SAE fittings...they went to Metric in the eighties, but I don't recall the years. |
