Front Suspension Questions
With my rear almost done on my 82 swb, I need to start looking at the front 2wd conversion. 1st Question: What, if any, are the differences between the years(73-87) front suspension wise? I also plan to rebuild the front while I'm there, do I use rubber bushings or poly? I want a nice ride and I am also getting the 4"/6" Western Chassis Economy drop kit at the same time to avoid pulling the suspension apart twice.

Re: Front Suspension Questions
Id replace all the rubber bushings with poly, wont have to replace them again for a while if not ever.

Re: Front Suspension Questions
Are you wanting differences in all 4x4 suspensions between 73-87 or the differences between 4x4 and 4x2?
The actual 4x4 hanger pieces are virtually the same on all 4x4s.

Re: Front Suspension Questions
No, I am wanting to know if there is any differences between the years for front 2wd suspension. I know what I need to finish the 2wd conversion I just want to make sure all the years from 73-87 will work and there are no major differences.

Re: Front Suspension Questions
2WD is the same as flaming stated. They are essentially the same from 67-87.

Re: Front Suspension Questions
Not all are exactly the same. There were light duty (1 inch thick rotors) and heavy duty (1 1/4 inch thick rotors) brakes. The earlier years all had the HD brakes. Later years had both. Definitely get one with the thick rotors.
