Floor Mat Opinions - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

One of the next things I'm going to do to my Big 10 is rip out & replace the carpet in it. Since I'm building this up for river trips, I'm seriously considering a full rubber replacement, for easy cleaning. Does anyone have any opinions on how they are after you put them in? Super-loud? PITA to install?

I'm thinking of the full floor MIP mat on that page with some good backing to cut down on road noise, but I really don't know what I'm talking about. If the cheaper OEM rubber is a better option/deal, then I wouldn't mind saving a few pennies for something else (like new kick panels) if there's no good reason to go with the spendy version.

Thoughts?

I've never bought anything from him, but he has a reputation of not selling anything he wouldn't want on his own truck.

I've read good things about CK, too. I was definitely going to check his store.

why not just get some roll on bed liner.. it will damen sound and be easy to clean... i did that in my 79 bronco full length of the truck and it worked out great..

I thought about that, hell, I wanted to paint the thing in bed-liner, but isn't that going to be loud?
