Front end swap
So I got a hold of a 76 truck and want to swap my 70 to the discs off the 76. What is my next step? I cut the front end off at the frame so I have the entire front end to work with. Also what else will I be needing from the 76 to bring over to my 70? Just a little info on my truck, it is a 70 long bed and bagging the front. My plan is to use re-7's for the front, plating the spring pocket, and putting cups into the LCA's for the bags to sit in. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated and picks from before and after will be soon to follow.

Re: Front end swap
If your front end needs to be replaced most guys would just take both fronts apart & swap the 76 stuff over to the 70 cross-member
But if the 76 front is still in good shape, then I would just swap the whole cross-member, but that requires pulling the engine out of the 70 |

I don't pull the engine. I hook an overhead hoist to the engine and hang it in place while the crossmemeber is gone from underneath it.

Re: Front end swap
Don't forget to use the '76 center link...then you don't have to mess with tierod adapters since the tierod ends are different.
