Organize your parts,... NOS parts found (in my own house!)

I know some of you guys are parts collectors like myself.
A while back I posted a thread looking for a nice non-A/C heater control for my '69 swb. Well guess what I found today. I don't even remember where or when I got it. It said $25 on the box.
I said, "That's it,... time to get organized!"

I have been collecting parts for 25+ years for all kinds of 67-87 trucks. I usually buy stuff I don't need right away, because the price was too good to pass up.
When I moved into my house 13 years ago,... I built some 2x4 shelves to neatly organize everything. I guess I've bought a few parts since then. Ha.

I recently have been ordering small parts for my '69. Well today I bet I found half of what I needed,... in my disorganized shelving. I had purchased some shelving at Home Depot, to equip an empty extra bedroom into parts storage room. I know it still looks like a mess,... but now I can find stuff. I think the shelves are about $40 each and are 3' wide x 6' tall x 18" deep. They work great and will hold a ton of stuff.

That's cool! How come you fliped the heater control over?
I need to get my parts out and snap some shots for a sale.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Organize your parts,... NOS parts found (in my own house!)

I just ordered some stainless sill plates. I already had 2 NOS sill plates in the package. Also found 4 GM 67-72 rockers, and a bunch of other small parts I had forgotten about.

Re: Organize your parts,... NOS parts found (in my own house!)

It's funny you said that Joe. I was looking for some NOS GM rocker panels a while back thinking I had two sets back in my stash. Well last week I found I had 4 full sets of GM rockers and two extra of another side. So I went to GM and they are still available (maybe I shouldn't call them NOS?) so I finished the sets out so I have six pair now. GM might be calling me next as they only show one stocking warehouse in the US for those rockers now and man are they expensive.

Re: Organize your parts,... NOS parts found (in my own house!)

Picked up 14 plastic storage bins tonight at Walmart and went to work again.
I ended up with four 55 gallon trash bags of trash and 4 boxes of scrap metal and parts to go to scrap tomorrow.
Four hours later,... and I had filled about half the of the totes with "organized parts".
More parts for sale soon.
Here's part of the leftover mess:
