I have a 68 c-10 with either 2" or 2.5" drop spindles, 4" drop springs in the rear 15" rally rims with 275/60/15 tires. I plan on bagging all 4 corners and installing a c-notch. Right now I have long tube headers but will need shorties. Which do yall recommend? Are the summit headers worth buying?

If it makes a differnce I have a 350 backed by a 350.

Should I buy a crossmember premade with exhaust holes or cut my own

My guess is that you won't get low enough to worry about getting shorties. I would also just cut your crossmember to run the pipe.

My headers are already pretty low with the suspension I have.

yeah you need shorties and stick to a name brand most cheap ones leak easy or twist from the heat.

Hooker #2466HKR is a shorty style, angled down and to the back.

I'm subscribing. I have a 72 GMC w/airride on the front, will be swapping to Chevy frame and puttin airride on the rear. My Hedmans are currently 3" off the ground.

I had Hedman's and edelbrocks on my blazer before I switched to 2.5" corvette ramhorns. These flow just as good as headers for most applications and keep engine bay temps down. I highly recommend them.

I'm running a set of shorty headers from a chevelle. They fit alright, and are reasonably priced on eBay.

these are not the exact ones I'm running, but they should work.

earlyclassic.com makes a really nice set for our trucks i believe they are built by sanderson..my 2cents
