Proportioning Valve and brake lines - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Is the proportioning valve for drum brakes prior to 1971 all the same? Also I have a 1970 3/4 ton 4x4 with power brakes and does the brake lines from the valve down run inside or outside of the frame? If you have pictures that would be great.

Can't help you on the valve.

But the brake line to the rear brakes runs down the inside of the right frame rail.

Thanks for the info. I need to really know where the ones from the p-valve. I think one goes one the outside and one on the inside.

They drop down to the rear of the front cross member.
