I use large washers for shims.
I have tried to reduce the radiator support bushings but what I have found is that you almost have to go with no supports at the radiator in order to get the results equivalent to 1/4" shims under the body. I have not seen any problems from shimming under the body. Jim

thanks for the replies-I have a extra bushing and I will cut that down and use it as a shim instead of the shims I have
