Talking Body swap crazy

I have a '91 ex cab short bed. It's nose found a road bank one night in a drunken stupper. I have the oppertunity to aquire a 67' body. I guess everyone sees where this is going. Does anyone know if there is a chance of getting the '67 sheet metal on the '91 chassis?
Thanks
Joe

Some one had a picture of that on the board somewhere. Definitely not a bolt on swap. Lots of metal work involved.

Re: Body swap crazy

YES! I beat you to it, ha I am in the middle of putting a 68 body on a 88 frame, but mine were both regular cabs and long beds. Getting the 68 cab on the frame wasn't that bad if you have average blacksmith skills, the biggest problem so far is the 88 frame is about 12" wider than the 68 which forced me to mount it higher than I wanted, but it looks ok, also the 88 frame is a bit longer, about 4" in the middle because the 88 cab is longer. I haven't put the front clip on yet thats the next phase........ Anyway its just fun for me, I don't know if this any help?

Re: Body swap crazy

Been there done that cut it longways at all crossmembers and move the rails close together. you will have to move the rear spring mounts. lastly you will need to mod the steering. not a huge ordeal.
