60-63 Windshield

What is the difference between a factory tinted front windshield and a shaded one. My cracked and hopefully soon to be replaced front windshield on my 63 is just clear throughout. Ive been cruzin through some vendor sites and they show those as the two options but with no pics. Can someone help me out on the description and of course some pics would be highly appriciated.
Thanks in advance all!

Re: 60-63 Windshield

Tinted would be evenly colored, but shaded would have the strip across the top. I'm guessing, by the way. That just seems to me what a 'shade' would be.

Re: 60-63 Windshield

You are correct protrash64. A mild tint on all glass was available or clear or the top shade on the windshield. Here are the published glass options:

Glass, Soft Ray:
Windshield Only - R.P.O. A11
All windows - R.P.O. A11

Glass, Laminated:
Door windows only - R.P.O. A09

I thought this information was interesting, so enjoy.

Man if you could snag a good, unfrosted one for that price it's a steal.

Old custom classic trucks have soul. Their dashboards aren't plastic, and they've survived both the best and worst of what the 20th century had to offer. For the owners of these trucks, it's often the same story. Through both good and bad times they persevered, until one day they could turn the key and roll up in a customized truck everyone with good taste would admire.Custom Classic Trucks
