Interior Map Light bulb replacement
Okay, I think this should be so simple, but before I tear-up my dome light maybe you guys can help me.
I bought a 93 Siverado the other day, and the map light bulbs are missing (little lights on right and left sides of the dome light). I have the bulbs, but can't seem to figure out how they go in. It looks like maybe they "hook" on the loops at the ends of the bulb or something, but I can't get that to work for nothing (maybe if I try some tweezers of something, but it shouldn't be that difficult, I'd think). They for sure will not just "stick" in the receptacle like the center dome light or any other light bulb I ever seen. Am I missing something here? How are you supposed to put those bulbs in? Anyone changed these out before? What is the secret? |

Re: Interior Map Light bulb replacement
The bulb just fits inbetween the connectors. No trying to "hook" or "loop them over the terminals. Just insert one end and gently push back until the other end slips into place and you're done.
Good luck and have fun!!! Dave P.S. If that doesn't work, then post a pick of the dome light assembly and I may be able to determine if you've got the right bulb for it or not. This is the bulb it calls for (#561) ![]() However, if the contacts are 2 on either side of the end of the bulb then you will need this style (#211-2)
