89 grill question

My nephew has a 89 Short wide Chevrolet. It has the single large headlight on each side. What other years of grill/headlight assemblies will fit his truck and what if any modifications will have to be done? He would like to change the look.

Thanks

pretty sure 88-94 or 95 will fit. unscrew the old and throw in the new.

Re: 89 grill question

Yeah, the grilles are interchangeable from 88-95(I think up to that year). I did it with my 88. I put the double stack headlight grille and headlamp assembly from a 92 GMC on the 88 Chevy. In retrospect, I wish I had left it, I didn't realize how poor the composites illuminate. The single lamps are much better.

Keep in mind you will need to do just a little bit of metal bending to fit in the adjustment screws if changing from single to doubles. As well as some rewiring. But other than that....(all that) its a direct bolt on.
