Oil & Water
I pulled the valve covers on my 5.7 and found them covered in a water/oil gunk. My question - How can there be water in the oil at the valve covers but no sign of water in the oil pan??? Could it possibly be condensation??

Re: Oil & Water
condensation is possible but most likely your intake gaskets are leaking. If thats not it a seeping head gasket.

Re: Oil & Water
It probably is condensation. I assume you aren't finding a ton of water, just enough to show up and make you worry.

Re: Oil & Water
condensation....sometimes different brands of oil will cause that issue more than others...had that issue in an old truck of mine and was using castral oil...found the best way to cure it is to take it for a few long drives so that the heat from the running motor evaporates it off
