Possible to use front coil springs from a 71 on a 76?

both 1/2 ton 2wd's..

FYI.. if anyone ever needs to know.

I got lucky and found out that '72- are shorter by about 2.75" and have a spring rate that's about 150lbs/inch less. So stock springs for a '72- would lower a '73+ about 2.75". But they're also about .75" smaller overall diameter with a pigtail end whereas the '73+ springs aren't.
