Another WIW question- 94 Bravada
Found a 94 Bravada with a bad tranny in the local car lot.
It has Nice black leather interior, digital dash, very little rust except for the drivers door, 4.3 motor/auto tranny (700r4?) & near new tires. It has 133k miles on it. They are asking $675 for it as it sits. I don't need another project but I think it could be worth it, just looking for opinions.

Re: Another WIW question- 94 Bravada
you'll be looking to spend ~ $1400 for a tranny build, or...http://sd.craigslist.org/pts/1019807839.html
I paid $600 for mine a year ago. after the smoke settled I had $1100 into it. then I sold the good spare 4.3 and got $500 ahead. but this summer I will need to go through the tranny. imagine that, huh. |

Thanks for the info.
I'm not going to be able to buy it now anyway, just found out I'm on 6 week layoff.

Re: Another WIW question- 94 Bravada
like he mentioned... find another one with a blown engine, take the better of the 2 and put the good parts in the goos vehicle and sell the bad one witht he bad parts to recoup some of your money... granted you need the money to start with and the job situation is understandable.

"northern Iowa", can you narrow it down for me/us? I am thinking of a road trip with my bike this summer and want to meet up with some people.

I'm in the town of Terril, not too many people outside the area have heard of it.
