Seattle Roadster Show This Weekend

It might be nice to meet some board members and see at least one member's truck (chevy71super) on display this weekend. I am not sure what day I will be going but lets weigh in on a preference just the same. I will pick Friday afternoon/evening.

Sunday is the 4x4 swap meet at the Puyallup Fair grounds too. Is anyone going to that?

Dano, It is at the Seahawks exhibition center between Seahawks stadium and Safeco Field. Friday will be my day if Orence is going to be there.

Larry, have you been getting my emails or do I have the wrong address? I sent you three this week...LOL!

Ok guys...
Gere is the skinny....
I cant make it to the show. Soooo....
I was hoping some of you could bring the digital cameras, and get some good pix of chevy71super's truck, and post them on the board?
I would be forever in your debt!

Sweet! A shortbed 4x4. That is the one you were telling me was one of the best restorations you had ever seen! I can't wait to see it up close and personal!

I've gotta work Friday. I won't be off work until 5pm - deal with traffic to get home, pick up the wife and kid and then get to downtown - I'll be lucky if I can make it there by 7:30! I'm trying to talk the wife into going on Saturday, but I guess her brother & family may be coming up then Maybe they'll want to go to the show too

theo, I will be there at about 4:00PM...my cell number is (206) 979-5030. It is raining and snowing on the south end so I am sure you will not drive your truck. oldiron is in OR on vacation and Orence1 will be there about 4 as well. His truck is in pieces so he will not drive it. I guess we will have to be content to drool over chevy71super's truck. I guess we could all try to meet at his truck at 5:00, Orence1 and I will be coordinating by phone.

I hope you guys made it to the show. I appreciate the compliments made by Old Iron. I was in North Carolina until Wednesday. Worked on the truck Wednesday night to Midnight, got up at 4:00 the next morning, worked on it until 9:00, drove it down to the show and worked on it until 6:30 that night. The guy who painted the truck stopped by and helped and my wife and son came after he got out of school. I did not realize these shows were so much work. I must have spent about 40 hours on it over the past couple of weeks.

The cars at the show are unbelievable. The competition is fierce but everyone was very helpful given it was my first show. The orange 67 (or 68) was the only other 67-72. It's a very nice truck. (I need to talk to that guy and get him on the board.) Other four wheel drives are a 49 Chevy and two Jeeps.

Here is a couple of pictures. They are kind of dark, I need to figure this camera out better.

We had a good turnout on Friday night with theo goebel, livrat, Orence1 and myself. Larry should post some pictures of chevy71super's truck. It was looking very fine! The '68 was sweet and had a nice tribute to Dale Earnhart on the tailgate. I will post pics in a few days if the digital guys don't get to it first.

Another big highlight for me, along with meeting guys from the board, was meeting Chip Foose of Foose Design, Prowler and SEMA T-Bird fame who is attending the show along with this SEMA T-Bird. He will be there all weekend and is just another friendly car guy...stop by and say hi to him. He was recently featured on Discovery Channel or one of the car shows.

Oh...and the Sea Gals weren't too bad either...would have missed them if it had not been for the careful eye of Livrat! It's easy to spot the guys that are burned out on hot rods...they can spot the hot women across the convention center...LOL!
