Have no stall now -weird

i KNOW THIS IS ANOITHER DUMB POST BUT , HERE IT IS

* AFTER I INSTALLED A DIFFERENT CARB ON MY 400 SB, MY STALL DOSENT WORK . I USED TO BE ABLE TO POWER BRAKE TO ABOUT 2200 OR SO , NOW I HAVE NOTHING . IT ACTUALLY GOES FORWARD AT IDLE OF 900 RPMS , IF I DONT HOLD THE BRAKE . IS ANY OF THE LINKAGE TO THE CARB I MIGHT HAVE HOOKED UP WRONG . I WAS ACTUALLY ASHAMED TO POST THIS , BUT I FINALLY DID - OH WELL

Don't know what trans your running but;

Gander at your trans kick-down cable closer, Compare the cable hook-up location on the old carb to the replacement carb.... It could be in a slightly different location thus throwing the cable out of adjustment.
