replacing a lower door skin...pics

looks good did you spray any sort of rust converter inside the door before welding it back up?

nice job eb. when I did mine I ended up with a slight bow in along the seam that gave me fits. I could hold a strait edge along the seam and had a bow in the middle about 1/8 to 1/4".

Damn it Earl Everytime I think I do good work I have to see pictures of yours and realize my work sucks compared to yours. I think you cheat and use a ruler to lay out those welds. No matter how hard I try they never look that uniformly spaced. I think you use a robot

Mike its ok to use a tape measure to mark off the tacks.


lowriden58, I will coat the inside when I finish. I still have the shell bottom to do. I should finish tomorrow.

I have four welders. The one I use the most for sheet metal is a little lincoln I got years ago when lincoln was doing a sponsorship deal with some nascar teams. They gave a bunch of them to the teams and gave me one for my personal use.
