Rear Gas Tank Conversion AND Hidden Hitch Anyone?
Just wondering if its do-able for both a Blazer/Burb tank and a hidden type hitch to be installed on the same truck.
Thanks!!

I think I read on here sometime back that it is do-able......
I have a Hidden-Hitch also that I have not installed yet. I am also thinking about the rear tank with it.

Re: Rear Gas Tank Conversion AND Hidden Hitch Anyone?
I’m going to be installing a Blazer gas tank and was looking for a hitch that would work, talked to Wes at Classic Heartbeat http://www.classicheartbeat.com/default.htm he supplied me with a shorter hitch to clear the tank and its receiver will exit just behind the license plate on the bumper. I haven’t installed the gas tank or the hitch yet but it appears that it will work for me. If I remember correctly from what Wes said the hitch is for a suburban and is shorter to clear the tank. Suggest you talk to Wes about the installation your planning on doing and I bet he can supply what you need.

I need a setup that will allow the Blazer/Burb tank AND still allow me to use the hidden hitch. Quote:

I live down the street from Brothers, and according to them, it is not possible with the hidden hitch/Blazer tank combination.

Re: Rear Gas Tank Conversion AND Hidden Hitch Anyone?
ECE had them for pickups, suburbans and blazers. Obviously the suburbans and blazers are set up for the rear gas tank.

You do realize that neither one of those pictures have a bumper/roll pan on them at the time right? Either one would cover those hitches.

Re: Rear Gas Tank Conversion AND Hidden Hitch Anyone?
Wes at ClassicHeartbeat had a Blazer tank and hidden hitch under the truck he called the "Garden Truck" a drop dead beautiful 3/4 ton 4X4. I saw the truck first hand and the install looked great and made the decision easy for me to do the same when I redo the 71. I'm not sure how well it will work on a shortie though.
