Re: Dealer brush gaurd?

Don't know about it being an option, but there has been an aftermarket for automotive parts ever since they were allowed into public usage.

I don't doubt that it could have been installed by a dealer, but it is more likely that it was custom-crafted to fit on a 4WD vehicle. It looks a little light to use "down under" for a kangaroo-guard, though.

So, are you gonna get it cleaned up and chromed? Powder-coated? I'm sure there are some folks on here who'd really like to have one like it. Nice find.

Re: Dealer brush gaurd?

I was thinking of painting it or powder but not sure what would look best. First coat of paint was white. My blazer is med olive.

Re: Dealer brush gaurd?

I was told by the PO of this the same thing about this push bumper. I can't confirm it, but my dad says he remembers this truck having it in early 70's.

Re: Dealer brush gaurd?

If its GM it will have a part # stamped into it. Most likely on the right side.

I believe they were factory installed. And not for 4x4's really. All the pics I have of em are on dually's. Special-K's wrecker had one.
