Re: Lojack

I had mine installed in Sweet Pea..and the wife's blazer.Cost of the 2 units was 450.00....Yearly monitoring fees maybe different....Mine is roughly 55.00 per year....As far as installation I am not sure what all is involved..I had it done...There are a number of hidden devices ( I have 3) that are basically little G.P.S systems..( I have found one so far)..I also bought the Hardware for my computer so I can track Sweet Pea....and if the unit ever looses power it holds its own power for up to 24 hours....That is the main reason I bought mine..

Fact is if the thieves want your ride....They are going to get it....I just felt Lojack was my best insurance.. that I would get mine back......

Re: Lojack

i know this much my buddy had lojack in his mustang and he went to lowes went in to havea key cut came out his car was gone in less than 15 min called police told them he had lojack and where it was stolen from the police advised him to see if lowes had camera footage of the incident he went inside and before they could rewind the footage police had located his car the people that stole it had a repo truck with a self loader on it they just grabbed it by the back tires never even got out of the truck they must have been tailing him because just as he walked in lowes they were pulling up to the car. neways he had a seperate alarm and the battery had been relocated to the trunk when the police arrived the lights were still flashing on the car they took the car about five miles to an apartment complex cut the wire to the alarm to stop the siren and tried pulling the fuses but they were on a seperate fuse block. the car was under a car cover they also found 2 other cars under car covers that had been stolen in the past couple of days. As far as i know they perps havent been caught yet but ny buddy got his car back at the end of the day thats all that matters all that to say lojack is worth every penny you may think its alot of money but if your car is stolen you are most likely to get it back. if you dont have it and vehicle gets stolen you will have wished that would have gotten it. my buddy told me that they locked him out of the garage when they installed it he said that they are very protective because they dont want anyone knowing what it looks like. its not an accessory its a necesity and dont put a sticker on the car saying its protected by lojack because then they will trash the car trying to find it if they still it.

Re: Lojack

I dont think I am going to put an alarm on it of any kind just a lojack. A late model truck I wouldnt care about so much. I am insured but this truck will have so much of me in it, it could never be replaced.
