stock tires?

I have purchased a 1975 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton pickup with 225x75R16 tires on it. Are these stock tires? If not, what would be the stock tire size?

Welcome to the board

Yes it sounds like those are stock tires. My truck has 225-75-15 on it when I bought it from the original owner. I'm thinking that he kept the same size tires the whole time.

I recall all chevy 8-lug stock wheels being 16.5 in diameter.

Re: Tire Size

Check in your glove box. My 79 1Ton has a list of equipment & Options on a sticker in the glove box. Tire size is listed there also. Hope this helps.

I looked in my '75 gmc sales brochure thinking I could get you some info on the options. Odd, there was nothing in there on tire sizes for the different models.

In '76, the sales brochure lists the options for a 3/4 ton as 8.75-16C and 9.50-16.5D.

Hope this helps
