Re: glove box data sticker

If the OP does not have a build sheet either, is there a GM data base that contains an options list relative to the VIN? I certainly don't have the build sheet that came with my truck. Chances are, the SPID will stick around (pun intended) a lot longer.

Re: glove box data sticker

I was going to suggest the build sheet, but I figured no one else would have it. I sent scanned copy of mine to Jeff, and he is going to also work on reproducing these

already been answered twice... there are no ties between the VIN and the option list in the US built trucks.

Here is a link to my C-20 post. Page two, towards the bottom is a pic of the original build sheet and dealer invoice: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=323282&page=2

Re: glove box data sticker

I have the build sheet to my longhorn, and the window sticker, dealer papers, recall notice and some other papers to my first longhorn.

Re: glove box data sticker

It appears, through research of my own, that the SPID and VIN have a relationship, but only 1990 and after:

Re: glove box data sticker

ahhh, I always thought that was common knowledge, and that was why everyone asked what there options were when looking at the SPID.
67 - 72... no, no info.

Re: glove box data sticker

I found a copy of my build sheet when I reupholstered my seat. It was between the springs and seat cushion bottom. It came out in pieces but they were all there.
Still have the original SPID on the inside of the glove box door. Just cover it each time I mess with the door. Getting kind of yellow but it's still there.

EDIT: I still have the original glove box door with original SPID that will go with the truck when the owner picks it up, which shows how it originally was delivered
I Believe the correct part # for the 5 spd should have ended in BS?

Could not tell ya. I gave Jeff the option code for '93 NV4500 in a C3500 and he elaborated it from there.
