fuel pump ??
Im putting a Blazer tank in the rear of my 69 c10. I am going to use the sender that came with the Blazer kit. Does anyone know what I can get a frame mount fuel pump for, to have adequate pressure for a 96 5.7 vortec (fuel inj)? I had a guy tell me a fuel pump for a 1996 ford f-150 was the correct pressure. Does anyone know if this is true?

Can it be too high?I`d think any V8 pump application would be adaquate.The 90s GM turbo diesels use as a frame mount "lift pump" to supply the injector pump.

I'll tell you right now from past experience....
Any 350 Vortec needs atleast 66 psi when you turn the key on!!!!! Any less and it won't run right. You can go to O'Reilly's and tell them to get into book 31 (Fuel pump book) and find the style you want (Prolly rollervane if I remember correctly) and find one in that psi range, a little more wouldn't hurt either. |
