quick disc brake question
So I read the sticky about the disc brake swap and I didn't really see what I was looking for. So here's my question. I have a 60 gmc (torsion style) and I've got a bunch of leads on complete front ends (coil spring) is it possible and how hard is it to switch it over?? Thanks alot guys!

Re: quick disc brake question
you can just take the hole front cross member out of a 80 1/2 ton trucks and just in stall it in to your truck. remove your old x member and put the newer 1/2 ton x member in you will have to drill some new holes to make it fit. here are some pics of my 60 i did.

Re: quick disc brake question
Any 1/2 ton pickup or Suburban front suspension from 1971 to 1987 will bolt in with minor work. I've not done on in a torsion bar truck, but in the '63-'70 trucks you need to drill one hole on each side and elongate one hole on each side.

Re: quick disc brake question
so this is probably a no seeing as everyone goes to 5 lug. But is there any one that makes a 6 lug rotor for the 73 set up I'm looking to install?
