Wanna see something really scary?

Got my EZ-wire harness yesterday and started to work. This is a shot of the wires that are left AFTER I pulled the fusebox and main harness.
Yall think it was time to clean it up?

red wire

NOTE: After making a couple of laps around and ending up behind the brake pedal, it is spliced into the OTHER red wire .

Man, I wish I was right in the middle of that project.........NOT!

What are the extra switches for on your door panels? The black power window switches are the same ones I'm running. What are the chrome window switches for?

I hear ya. Wiring is up there on the fun meter scale right next to brake cleaner in the eye.

Thats the power lock switch. Im going to change the window switches to GM. My knee keeps hitting those mounted where they are.

I should do a rewire of mine in the not-too-distant future, and those pics scared the crap out of me! Looking under the dash, I have all kinds for flying wiring.

There is a company out of so cal called M&H electric fabracators they make factory style harnesses. No splicing no termanating just plug n' play. These are not universal they are made to order. The harness for my 72 blazer cost $500.00, pricey but worth it considering the universal ones cost between $300-400. www.wiringharness.com or in so cal (562)-926-9552

This one was $175 and definitly not plug and play. It fits my needs for this truck just fine though.
When I go through my 69 Camaro I'll use one of those plug and plays.

Thought Id throw up some pics before I started chasing sparks again.
I made an Oreo cookie out of rubber mat and sealant(thats the white goo oozing out) and used a 1" hole punch, then covered the hole in the firewall.
This is a difference between EZ-wire and the more expensive harnesses. No firewall plug.

I had to cock the fusebox a little in order for the existing holes to line up. It actually matches the angle of your head when your down there looking for blown fuses. So Im claiming it as a custom tilt for easier reading.
