The thing pisses me off about even the later GM grills is that none of them are correct. You got a very good deal on that combo and I would have bought it in heartbeat, but it really torques me up that the dealers are charging $800+ for a grill that is not correct. You have to find a leftover unused GM grill from the 70's or early 80's to be correct. GM changed them sometime in 80's for some stupid reason, and all the aftermarket companies followed suit on the non-correct grill.

No. The original assembly line outer grilles had the black paint stripes that went from headlight bezel to headlight bezel. The later GM/REPRO grilles stripes end in a "C" before each bezel.

Does some one have a picture of an original grill that is correct? I am having a hard time picturing what is different.
