Well I did it. I took 1.5 inches off the front by loosening the torsion bars. That plus the 2.5 inch drop spindles and the _ Inches that I have lowered it in the past should put me some where around 5 inches in the front. I hope it is still driveable I haven't taken it for a spin yet. Also I hope it makes it down my driveway. Does it really mater if you can not fit your jack under the cross member or not? I'm also planing in putting tiers or weals in the rear that are 2 inches taller than the ones that are on there now. So that It will be one inch higher in the rear to give me a little bit more of a forward tilt.If anyone has any suggestions let me know. Also if anyone knows of a place that sells rear sway bars for a 62 I would also like to know.

Is your truck trailing arm? If it is, it should be the same as the later trucks... maybe some others could chime in and answer. I would just use the bar listed for 63+. I think we had this discussion before......

Did the torsion bar adjustment mess with the alignment?
I've heard it will tilt the top of your tires in. /--\

I lowered the front of my truck with the torsion bars and i really didnt notice much of a change in alignment. Guess it also depends on your truck and how tight the front end is. Best thing about that if you lower the front and dont like it just crank them back to where you had them. And as far as a sway bar is concerned forstb i have not heard of any one making a rear sway bar. BTW your 62 looks real good!!!

Yes Protrash64 we have already had this conversation. The rear frame rails of the 62 are a few inches wider than the 63 and up. I will probably order one for a 63 and try to figure out some kind of alternate bracket. In response to retodd7711 yah it does cause alignment issues but it is not anything a good alignment shop can't take care of. I might have to bring the front up a little bit I am having trouble getting out of my driveway without scraping the corners of my bumper.
