Removing AC
Anyone ever removed the AC and converted to a non-AC setup? How did you go about doing it? I know the best approach would be to cut the firewall section out of a non- AC truck and weld it in, but I was wondering if there were other ideas to get rid of the 'suitcase'.
Back when I played with Chevelles and Novas, there was a company who made a blower box that bolted to the AC firewall but converted it to non AC. Anything like that exist for these trucks?

Re: Removing AC
Yep, that looks like the same part... I just don't remember it being that expensive. Judging by the price, they sure are proud of that thing for it being nothing more than a heater channel made from a stamped piece of metal. I think I'll just cut the section from a parts truck and weld it in and save the $150.
